SR9009 Review: Stenabolic Dose, Side Effects, Results, & More

In need of a boost to your bodybuilding efforts? If pure gumption and hard work are no longer yielding the results that you need, there are options that can help.

Many bodybuilders and other athletes are turning to SARMs today. One of interest is SR9009 (Stenabolic).

In this review, we’ll explore what you need to know about it in order to determine whether it’s the right choice to boost your muscle-building and fat-burning efforts.

NOTE: The below supplements are NOT intended for those under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18, do NOT consider taking them under any circumstances whatsoever.

Also, if you’re planning on joining the military, cease using this (and really any) supplement at least a couple months before going to MEPS.

They can cause a false positive on a drug test, and will affect your chances of joining!

What Is SR9009 (Stenabolic) SARM?

SR9009 is not a supplement, nor is it legal for it to be marketed as such, or included as an ingredient in supplement formulations.

This is a synthetic drug formulated by a pharmaceutical company (Scripps Research).

It was not designed for use by bodybuilders or athletes, either.

It was actually designed to help scientists study the circadian rhythm of the body.

What’s more, it was not designed with humans in mind. It was originally created for use with laboratory animals, where it enhances REV-ERB activity.1

It also provided other benefits, which we’ll discuss in a later part of this review.

How Does SR9009 (Stenabolic) SARM Differ from Other Options?

You’ll find many different SARMs on the market today and, while they all deliver a few similar results, they also differ from one another in significant ways.

SR9009 differs greatly from drugs like GW0742, for instance.

How much does it differ? The mechanism of action is completely different.

Because it activates REV-ERB in the body, all the benefits (and side effects) are directly related to that activation.

In laboratory animals, it greatly affects the circadian behavior of mice, altering their sleep patterns and other behaviors.

What Benefits Does SR9009 (Stenabolic) SARM Offer?

SR9009 has not been tested on humans, so it is unclear if the benefits seen in laboratory animals transfer over.

It is also unclear what side effects humans might experience by taking this untested drug.

However, it has achieved significant results during testing on mice.

Liver Impact

The drug affects almost all of the 900 genes in a mouse’s liver. This alters the way the body processes glucose, as well as inflammation and fat cell production.2

Muscle Tissue Impact

SR9009 also affects muscle tissue by activating REV-ERB, which promotes fat burning and increases mitochondrial activity. In turn, that helps create new cells and accelerates muscle growth.3

Fat Tissue Impact

We’ve already mentioned that SR9009 accelerates fat burning. It does so by turning off the genes related to storing fat within the body. It also decreases triglyceride production within the body.

So, what might you see if you decide that the risks are worth it and use this drug?

  • Weight loss
  • Faster muscle tissue growth
  • Improved blood cholesterol levels
  • Improved muscular endurance
  • Decreased overall inflammation within the body
  • Improved heart function and less risk of heart disease
  • Less sleep
  • Decreased anxiety
  • Decreased tissue damage (fibrosis), including in the liver

In laboratory mice that were given this drug for seven days, some marked results were noticed.

Mice given SR9009 for 12 days lost weight, but their appetites and food consumption were unchanged.4

For the mice given the drug for seven to 10 days, total cholesterol dropped, but muscular endurance increased substantially.

Heart function improved in all test mice, thanks in part to the reduction of overall inflammation.5

In a related study, mice exhibited less anxiety-related behavior, similar to the effects of prescription benzodiazepines.6

Lastly, SR9009 has shown promise at having an antitumor effect in patients with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), although research is ongoing.7

Side Effects of SR9009 SARM

All drugs come with side effects. However, SR9009 has undergone no human trials, so it is impossible to state with accuracy what side effects it might bring.

In animal testing, the only known side effect was disruption of the circadian rhythm, which led to the mice being more active during their usual sleep hours.8

It is unclear if this could occur in humans, although some bodybuilders do note that they are more wakeful.

SR9009 SARM and Athletes

Athletes at all levels need to find new ways to increase their ability to compete and win.

Many have turned to SARMs for this. However, it’s important to understand that most SARMs are banned at all levels of athletics, from amateur to professional. That includes SR9009.

It is on the list of prohibited substances published by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Urine tests are administered to athletes in an attempt to curb the use of performance-enhancing drugs, as was recommended in a paper published in 2016.9

It’s important to consider this risk in addition to the others inherent with taking something like SR9009.

Stenabolic and Diabetes

In addition to its benefits for muscle building and fat burning, Stenabolic may also play a role in treating diabetes one day.

It is currently not used for treating diabetes in humans, nor have there been human diabetes trials.

However, because of the way this drug affects glucose in the body, there is the possibility that it might help decrease the need for insulin to control glucose in a diabetic’s body.

More research is obviously needed here, but it is a promising development.

How Does SR9009 SARM Work?

While many SARMs bind to androgen receptors in bone and muscle material, SR9009 does not work in that manner.

Instead, it affects the liver and how it functions.

And, while no immediate side effects have been noted to the liver in test animals, no human trials have been conducted, so it is unclear exactly what impact it might have on liver function.

In addition to turning off most of the genes in the liver that affect circadian rhythm, the drug also turns off the genes responsible for producing glucose, but it does not seem to affect insulin sensitivity in mice.

Additionally, it turns off the genes responsible for producing new fat cells, while simultaneously reducing inflammation by suppressing the production of macrophages.

SR9009 SARM Ingredients

There are no ingredients in SR9009 SARM. It is a pharmaceutical – a synthetic drug developed in a laboratory.

It’s chemical name is ethyl 3-[[(4-chlorophenyl)methyl-[(5-nitrothiophen-2-yl)methyl]amino]methyl]pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate.

SR9009 SARM Positive Reviews and Complaints

There are a number of reviews of SR9009 that can be found on various forums, such as Reddit.

Most people who use it report that they’re able to build muscle mass while burning fat much more quickly than without taking the drug.

They also report few side effects, other than disruption of their sleep cycle.

Some users reported that they felt the effects very quickly, but some stated that they felt little or no difference after using SR9009.

Here’s a few of the reviews we came across:

Amazing fat loss and energy increase! Highly recommend.

Lastly, here’s an informative Youtube review of SR9009 outlining the benefits, dosage, side effects, and more:

How to Use SR9009 SARM

There are no official dosage guidelines for SR9009.

However, bodybuilders and athletes who have used it have found that the dosage range is 10mg to 40mg per day, spread out over several doses.

This is because the drug has a very short half-life (around five hours).

It should also be noted that it seems that this drug is unlikely to cause disruptions to your hormones, which means there may not be a need for PTC.

You should limit your usage of this drug to no more than about eight weeks.

Where to Buy SR9009 (Stenabolic) SARM?

It’s important to purchase performance enhancers from reputable online retailers. Our #1 recommended retailer is www.Chemyo.com.

You’ll find Stenabolic available in 2 different formats: Liquid solution and powder.

The liquid variety contains 50 ml of SR9009, and can be purchased for $79.99.

The powder version, on the other hand, comes in a little bit cheaper at $69.99 for a 1 gram pouch.

Discounts are offered for both if you increase your order size.

Capsules or Liquid?

Should you choose the capsules or the liquid? Both deliver SR9009 to the body, where the drug will take effect.

The main difference is the delivery method. With the capsules, you can simply take 1-2 capsules a day, and the drug will be absorbed.

The liquid must be dripped onto your tongue, or added to your preferred beverage.

Both methods offer increased fat burning, improved metabolism, and the other benefits associated with this pharmaceutical.

What About Stacking?

“Stacking” is the practice of combining SARMs with other supplements and even other SARMs in an attempt to get more “bang for your buck.”

Users have reported stacking SR9009 with good results.

Some of the more popular SR-9009 stacks include (click each to learn more):

Stenabolic (SR-9009) and Cardarine (GW-501516)

Stenabolic, Ostarine, and Cardarine

Ibutamoren, Cardarine, and SR9009

Conclusion

Wondering whether SR9009 (Stenabolic) SARM is right for you? It’s a big decision and is not one that you should rush into.

No matter whether you choose the capsules or the liquid, understand that this is an untested, unapproved pharmaceutical designed for investigational uses in a laboratory setting.

It is also banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, so athletes could find themselves banned if they fail a urine test.

With that out of the way, this does appear to be one of the safer SARMs available.

For those seeking a way to achieve a cut, ripped look, to burn fat fast, and to improve their endurance, this drug may offer those benefits.
