Navy Reserve Pay For 2023 – Enlisted
The U.S. Navy Reserve consists of four different organizations:
- Selected Reserve (SELRES)
- Individual Ready Reserve (IRR)
- Full-Time Support (FTS)
- Retired Reserve
Reservists are required by the Navy to perform drills a minimum of one weekend per month, as well as two weeks of more intense active duty training.
Navy Reserve Pay for enlisted members is equal to one day’s active duty base pay for each drill period (or approximately four hours of work).
One weekend of drills consists of four drill periods (approximately 16 hours).
When Reservists are required to complete active duty training that lasts longer than a weekend, they are compensated with prorated Basic Pay.
In the end, Drill Pay is comparable to military personnel serving active duty stints.
The pay is determined first by military rank, and secondly by the length of service.
