About Moosejaw
Moosejaw was founded by two friends named David Jaffe and Robert Wolfe in Michigan in 1992.
They originally wanted to be wilderness guides, but decided to open a shop filled with outdoor gear instead.
Today, Moosejaw has 11 locations in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, and Colorado. They have a popular website for buying gear as well.
Moosejaw is now owned by Walmart, so you can purchase their products on the Walmart website as well (though you will not be able to take advantage of the deals explained below if you go that route).

Their deal gives current and former service members 20% off their order total on most purchases.
The Moosejaw military discount works through ID.me, an online verification tool that allows businesses to provide military discounts safely via the internet.
If you do not have an ID.me account yet, you can create one here.
It will likely lead you to many more discounts, as well as allowing you to use this Moosejaw deal.
How to Use this Deal
Step 1: Add your desired items to your cart on Moosejaw.com
Step 2: Click on the cart icon when you’re ready to check out, and click “View/Edit Cart” on the pop-up window that appears
Step 3: Click on the small plus sign next to the phrase “Are you Military, a First Responder, a College Student, or a Teacher?”
Step 4: Click the red button labeled “Troop ID”
Step 5: You will be redirected to ID.me. Log into your account (if you are not automatically logged in)
Step 6: Once logged in, you will be redirected back to the Moosejaw website and your military discount will be automatically applied to your total
*It’s important to note that some products (especially items from popular brands) will not work with the Moosejaw military discount. If you are unable to view the steps to use the military discount from your cart, your items do not qualify. Try adding other items if you still want to take advantage of the 20% off military deal
Who Can Claim this Deal?
The Moosejaw military discount is available to all current military members.
This includes members of the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.
It extends to those who serve in Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard roles.
Veterans are eligible to use this deal as well.
Military family members are not eligible at this time.

What are the Restrictions?
The Moosejaw military discount is available online only, and it cannot be combined with other coupons, promotions, or sale pricing.
It cannot be used on canoes, kayaks, snowboards, skateboards, cameras, bikes, skis, SUPs, or gift cards.
As we mentioned above, some of the better-known brands are not eligible for this deal.
Also, you must go through ID.me to save 20%.

Moosejaw’s 20% off is also offered to First Responders (including police officers, firefighters, EMTs), college students, and teachers.
