Overall Mission: This Air National Guard base is centered around Intelligence missions.
They focus on “gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information,” which in turn keeps our military and country safe while also providing units with the information necessary for successful missions in other fields.

Coast Guard Station Michigan City
Location: Michigan City, Indiana
In Use: 1888- Present
Overall Mission: This is the only Coast Guard base in Indiana, but it serves under the larger Coast Guard Station Lake Michigan, providing protective and emergency response services to the lower portion of Lake Michigan.
It is an ice-capable unit as well, which is essential to the area in cold weather months.
