Marine Aviation Supply Specialist (MOS 6672) are responsible for providing logistic support to aviation activities.
Their job of this USMC MOS is to complete customer requests.
Aviation Supply Specialist fulfill orders for aviation supply support, if a maintenance part is needed quickly, they are the ones who supply it.
This position is open to Master Gunnery Sergeants to Privates.
Qualifications and Training
Individuals looking to enter into this MOS must first take the ASVAB test and score a minimum of 100 on the Clerical (CL) portion.
This position requires recruits to be 17-28 years old, a legal resident and have a high school diploma.
Individuals must pass all medical, height, weight and body fat requirements.
Entering into this MOS will also require physical evaluations and eventually passing the Physical Strength Test and Combat Fitness Test.
An understanding of PC operations/applications and the ability to meet the requirements to obtain a state drivers license is required.
Recruit training is 13 weeks and takes place at either Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island or Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
Training to become an Aviation Supply Specialist will include completing the Marine Aviation Supply Specialist Course in Meridian, MS.

Aviation Supply Specialist satisfy valid customer requirements.
Specialist must use an understanding of acquisition, material handling and purchasing procedures.

They will also perform material management and facilities and storage management.
Specialist assist with personnel staffing.
Depending on assignment, Specialist keep inventory on hand and organized for easy access.
They can send materials to other operating bases to increase readiness.
Individuals will use different computer systems, hand tools and equipment to complete their work.
The work that they complete can be time sensitive.
A part or piece that a maintenance personnel may request could keep the aircraft from flying and completing a mission.
