How does the Ford military discount compare to other major U.S. automobile manufacturers?

Ford has one of the best military discounts of any automaker. General Motors has a pretty good military discount in its own right.

It doesn’t specifically say how much you will save yet the expected amount is lower than MSRP (manufacturers suggested retail price).

It depends on the eligible make and model, yet some customers report between hundreds and thousands saved off a new vehicle.

Chrysler – the third big U.S. auto manufacturer – offers a comparable military discount to Ford.

Active-duty, retired, and honorably discharged veterans within 12 months of discharge are eligible to receive up to $500 off a new vehicle under the Chrysler Military Incentive.

Can veterans get the Ford Military Appreciation Bonus Cash offer?

It depends on how long you have been separated from the U.S. Armed Forces.

Ford states that you need to be less than 24 months (or two years) from having been honorably discharged or otherwise dismissed from service.

If that is the case than you are still entitled to the Ford Military Appreciation Bonus Cash program.

However, if you have been away from the military for more than two years the offer no longer applies.

Are spouses and children of service members eligible for the military discount?

Yes! The Ford military discount is applicable to spouse of military member as well as surviving spouses of the deceased.

Additionally, other members of the family that are classified as military dependents based on the DOD definition may get the discount as well.

You will want to speak with the local Ford or Lincoln dealership for more details.
