What Is The Official Brownells Military Discount?
OMK spoke directly with a Brownells representative, and it turns out that they in fact DO have a military discount.
The discount ranges from 1% – 10% off your order total. The amount of the discount depends on the manufacturer.
Accessing Your Brownells Military Discount
Here’s how to redeem the discount, step-by-step:
Step 1: Click Here to create an account on their website.
Step 2: Once you have set up your Brownells account, you’ll need to provide their customer service with a copy of your military ID.
You’ll need to email a copy of your credentials and your account number (if you have it) to [email protected]. Include your full name and billing address.
Brownells will upgrade your account.
Step 3: Once Brownells has upgraded your account, you can sign back in to your account and find your discounts.
The items that feature a military discount will have a line drawn through the price and your discounted price will appear right next to it.

The discounts are all over the place. Some items will be as little as 1% – 2% off, and some items can be as much as 10% off.
Some manufacturers don’t give a discount at all, and some manufacturers discount every item on the site.
Unfortunately, the only way you’ll be able to tell which ones have a discount attached to them is by browsing around the site.

The Brownells Military discount comes with a couple of restrictions.
This includes:

- Not every manufacturer offers a discount

1. Brownell Coupon Codes
Brownells typically has a coupon code that can be used online at all times.
This code changes from time to time, but there is almost always some type of deal available.
For example, today’s coupon code is VB5, which will entitle you to free shipping on all orders over $49.
This online coupon code is listed on a banner on Brownells home page online.
You can see Brownell’s home page here.
When you get to the home page, you will be able to see the deal. Simply look at the deal and type the code in during your checkout process to save.
2. Brownells Email Newsletter
Another quick and easy way to save $10 and get free shipping is by signing up for their email newsletter.
Here’s how to do it:

Step 2: Wait a couple of seconds for this banner to pop up:
If you sign up for it, you’ll receive a coupon right to your inbox for $10 off your next purchase, as well as free shipping.
Of course, a few terms and conditions apply.
The discount is only applicable to purchases of $99 or more, and the free shipping is standard ground shipping only. (so no overnight or 1-day shipping)
While it’s a one-time coupon, they will periodically send you deals on all sorts of items.

3. Brownells Rebates
On top of their coupons, Brownells also offers a rebate program.
You can see the current rebates here.
To use the rebate program:
Step 1: Buy the necessary items for the rebate deal. You can search for them directly on the rebates page.
Step 2: Go to the Brownells rebate page here and click “view rebate form” next to the correct rebate.
Step 3: Print this form
Step 4: Gather your receipt and circle the purchase that appears in the rebate deal
Step 5: Cut out the complete UPC from the product’s packaging
Step 6: Write a check for the shipping fees listed on the rebate form
Step 7: Mail in your rebate form, receipt, UPC code, and shipping fees check to the address listed on the rebate form
Once you send in all of the necessary items, you can simply wait for your rebate check to come in the mail. The website does not specify how long it takes for checks to come, but rebate processes typically do take a long time to be completed.
4. Brownells Deals Page
Brownells conveniently displays all their sales on one page. If you look at the top right hand side of the home page, you’ll see “Deals” on the nav bar. It looks like this:
Click on “Deals” and it will take you to this page called “Sales and Clearance.”
It’s a quick and handy way to find all the items currently on sale as well as any active rebates programs.
Note that the Navigation on the bottom of the page was not functioning properly when we tested it.
5. Coupon Sites
Coupon sites, such as Retail Me Not and Slick Deals, have a variety of discounts that you can take advantage of when you shop Brownells online or in person.
They offer a variety of coupons, including deals for certain amounts of money off your order and percentages off your order.
To use these deals online, enter the coupon code when you checkout on Brownells.com.
To use these deals in person, follow the guidelines for use on the specific discount.
Typically, you will show a code or barcode to the cashier when you make your purchase in-store.

When we originally wrote this article, it appeared that Brownells didn’t actually offer a military discount.
However, OMK did the digging and it turns out luckily they do.

They have a military/LE discount. You have to contact cust support and they add you to their special price plan that varies per manufacturer. It’s decent on some items.
