About Academy Sports + Outdoors
According to their website, Academy Sports and Outdoors started as a Tire Shop in 1938 in San Antonio.
By the next year, the store become a military surplus store.
Academy Sports and Outdoors soon expanded into multiple surplus locations.
They did not add sporting and outdoor equipment to their product list until the 1980’s.

Shortly after adding sporting and outdoor equipment, they added larger retail locations and started expanding to different states.
Now Academy Sports and Outdoors can be found in over 16 states with a large selection of outdoor products, propane services, license services and line spooling services.

The clearance section allows you to shop clearance items by category or by a list of all clearance items.
The prices will either show the discount right away or show the discount once the item is added to your cart.
The hot deals section allows you to see products that are currently on sale by category or a list of all products.
2. Sign up for Academy’s Email List to Save
Academy Sports and Outdoors offers an email list that could give you extra savings.
You will receive weekly ads, information about store openings or events and promotion information.
To sign up, visit the website here and scroll to the bottom of the page.
At the bottom of the page there will be a link that says, “Sign up for more deals”.
A new window will pop up asking you to enter in your email and zip code.
