Arkansas Operation: Military Kids has two camps left in this summer's cycle - Metro Camps for military youth age 9 - 12.  These are scheduled for September.

These camps are offered at no charge, with top priority the children who are impacted by deployment of a loved one.  The military family member may be in the stage of pre-deployment, deployment or post deployment.  Camp registration forms are available at www.kidsarus.org - just click on the OMK dogtags.

Let your community be one of the first to develop a military family and child support program for their deployed military personnel.  There is funding to help communities with this effort.  Contact the Arkansas Operation: Military Kids program director Maureen Rose for more information.  Maureen can also get you in contact with resources to start or join a 4-H Military club in your county.

Watch for OMK at deployment events, distributing Hero Packs and Give a Hug Dolls.  We are also in the child care area at most reintegration events, with the Mobile Technology Lab, games and activities for youth age 5 and up.
